Welcome
to the internet home of the world famous Tiger-Copter! Showcased by MSNBC,
and once called by media: "... the world's most famous private helicopter."
The mechanical co-star of the movie Hugo's Fury (the reason for her tiger
stripes - unreleased). As the Tiger is not currently flying ops, this website
serves as a reminder of recent past Tiger events and operations.
While
the Tiger is not flying she can be seen in person by visiting the
Kissimmee Air Museum at Warbird Adventures, located on the north side of
the Kissimmee Gateway Airport (Kissimmee, FL - address is 233 N. Hoagland
Blvd.), just down the road (Hwy 192 East) from Disney World resort area.
The Warbird's website is: www.warbirdadventures.com.
Still
trying!
........
Despite
continued hurdles in the areas of flight regulations, fans of the Tiger-Copter
with expertise in regulatory affairs are still assisting in trying to get
the Tiger's flight capabilities restored in the area of public operations
(grounded over changes in certification paperwork policies - in other words:
"it's a paperwork thing" - nothing to do with safety of flight).
In fact, she has been cleared to resume contract governmental flight operations.
Still, the big question remains as to whether or not the ship will remain
in Standard Category, or be converted to Experimental Exhibition due to
the new rulings (but still capable of fulfilling it's role as the mechanical
co-star of a potential new television series).
........
In
any case, the Tiger will be operated under new ownership, which
lends to the question of how much flying will be done by the Tiger's
creator and current Chief Pilot, Chase Jazzborne, in the future operations.
Chase has said that as long as new ownership wants him in the picture,
and Chase's future endeavors happen to keep him in the same area, he would
not pass up any potential opportunity to fly the Tiger!
